How do you do a blog? Answered by Bill.
• You can get your own website or you can go to wordpress.com to get free software to use on your own website for the blog in an extra folder, or get wordpress to do a free one for you. It can be set up to allow or to stop others posting to it.
Mick Devlin
Downloaded a file in Safari and discovered that if you DoubleClick the download status bar it will open the application and you can also delete from there.

Has a new USB stick which has files on it that she did not put there and can not remove.
• These are system files for Windows compatibility.
Has a music disk which plays on some of her MACs but wont show at all on one of them.
• This is just a system thing which can happen – no solution for it.

There is a widget called Album Art which will get track names from the internet for your music album files.

General Discussion
General discussion regarding Bigpond/Telstra problems and service complaints and the direction of broadband when the government initiative rolls out. Bill said that the Rawnet hardware still in place. Joe said the best strategy with Telstra when phoning is DON’T hit menu buttons as requested by the automated voice, but instead say “OPERATOR” OR CONSULTANT. That way you don’t go through menus and submenus and wait but get an actual person.
20:12 Tea break
Presentation
Presentation by John Feltham; Recording SKYPE chats and video. John showed us a SKYPE video chat with his son in Perth. He wanted to record his small grandchild. He opened Screenflow while in SKYPE and started recording. It captured the video chat. To buy Screenflow go to SNAPSPRO.
This promped Nikki to comment that when she has video chats with her son he looks distored and pixelated. Bill said it can be a bandwith problem.
Presentation for May
Barry Bamford will do a presentation on wrapping text in Pages.
